Professor Caramelo Gomes is Professor of Epistemology and research methodology in legal sciences and European and Comparative law at the Law Department of UPT.

He is the coordinator of the FCT doctoral and post-doctoral grants in Law and Political science 2013 and is a member of the Management Committee of Cost action IS 1307.

Professor Gomes sits in several national and international Scientific and Editorial boards and committees and is a visiting professor in several international institutions.
