The European Union in times of crisis: Law and Public Policies from 2020 to 2023

The book “The European Union in times of crisis: Law and Public Policies from 2020 to 2023″ is now available in open access. With a Foreword by Professor Fausto de Quadros and coordinated by Susana Sardinha Monteiro, Cátia Marques Cebola and Eugénio Lucas, the book brings together contributions from renowned researchers from different areas of knowledge, who reflect on the response of the Union, its institutions and leaders to the crisis(es) of recent years arising not only from the pandemic and post-pandemic context, but also from the return of war to Europe and its impact on national policies and legislation and consequently on people’s lives. Published by Almedina, it has 12 chapters by Juan Manuel Rodríguez Barrigón, Nuno Sardinha Monteiro, Graça Enes Ferreira, Constança Urbano de Sousa, Mário Simões Barata and Dora Resende Alves, Vanda Amaro Dias and André Pereira Matos, Eugénio Lucas, Ana Isabel Xavier, Susana Sardinha Monteiro and Cátia Marques Cebola, Susana Almeida and Mário Frota, Luís Mota, Patrícia Bento and Elisa Pacheco, Elisabete Santos, Nuno Abranches Pinto, Rita Guimarães Fialho D`Almeida and Isabel Baltazar”. The work will be available in the IPLeiria and UPT repositories, but can already be consulted on the brand new Almedina platform, where books published in open access can be found.
